We invite you to join us on March 12th for a hybrid discussion on disability inclusion in the Asia Pacific region.
The discussion will be centred on UNSW’s role in the global context, and we will debate if sustainable progress can be made amongst the growing demands on resources, and with the challenges faced by climate and social concerns. In short – what is UNSW currently doing to advance disability inclusion? And could we do more?
Whether you are an academic researcher, student, lived experience researcher or advisor, or simply curious and want to learn more, everyone at UNSW is welcome to attend this event.
Questions and comments on the day are highly encouraged.
About this event
Connect with your peers and colleagues and share your thoughts on how we can partner to drive progress, remove barriers to inclusion and improve accessibility for people with disability in education and employment.
Lived-Experience Researcher, Mr. Peter Palg Rumints will share findings from his recent scoping exercise into UNSW engagement in disability inclusion in the Asia Pacific. Mr. Rumints is a UNSW Australia Awards Scholar from PNG with extensive experience as a leader in disability advocacy. His presentation will be followed by an expert panel discussion and audience Q&A, with which we hope to engage folks from all across the UNSW community.
A networking morning tea will follow the formal discussion to keep those conversations flowing.
