A Message From the Disability Scholars Network

| 25 Apr 2022

Are you a student who is doing or is interested in doing research in the field of disability?

The Disability Scholars Network (DSN) is a group designed to support new and emerging disability researchers by providing a safe, supportive network in which to build their capabilities as disability scholars and leaders. Students interested in disability-related research, across any faculty, from any university, and at any stage of their research journey, are welcome to attend.

Our membership consists of students with and without lived experience of disability who seek to promote the rights and wellbeing of people with disability and wish to research topics that benefit them.

We meet monthly, alternating meetings between the third Monday or Thursday of the month, and provide a variety of activities such as guest speakers, learning activities, discussion, and times to share work. Once a year we aim to host or contribute to a special event, such as a mini-conference, webinar or workshop where we can learn from and make connections with each other and experts in our fields.

If you are interested in becoming a member or receiving notifications of upcoming meetings and events, please follow the link below or contact Sallie-Anne Moad.

The DSN is hosted by UNSW PhD research students and supported by the UNSW Disability Innovation Institute.
